Free and Low-Cost Internet Options For NYC Students/Families
You may be eligible to receive $30/month off your internet bill!
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal program that provides eligible households with a discount of up to $30 per month toward their internet bill, and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.

Step 1: Check your eligibility status
A household is eligible for the ACP if at least one person in the household is a student in an NYC public school!
Other qualifications for ACP include:
- participation in income-based federal benefits like SNAP, SSI, federal public housing assistance, Medicaid, the Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit, WIC, or the federal Pell Grant program for the current school year.
Step 2: Enroll at acpbenefit.org
Step 3: Contact your internet provider Contact your preferred provider (Optimum, RCN, Spectrum, Verizon, etc.) directly – they can help you enroll!
